Who Am I

What am I ,I refuse to answer

I am defiant, but palpable

I can be consequential or inconsequential,

I stand stiff for some,

And fleet according to others,

I am money for business men ,

And out of joint for the ‘Prince of Denmark.’

Practical people take me by ‘the forelock’

I drag on for the newly betrothed

I run out for the condemned,

I am fleshy and sensuous for the newly betrothed

I run out for the condemned,

I am fleshy and sensuous for the newly-wed

I am inconsequential for the gamblers’

I tell on the nerves of the psychopaths

Astrologers expatiate on my influence on people

Grammarians tackle the past, present

And future in relation to me.

Students hold me fast, but I delude them

I mellow the raw youth,

Automobiles race against me,

‘Tsunami ’grins at me

I mitigate all loses and sorrows,

I am fathomless and boundless

I contain multitudes.
