Appearance are deceptive ,says Savants
And truth lies hidden beyond,
Little do I get worried about surmises
Being bound only to the Zodiac.
When myths qualified me as a SuperGod
Wedded to four hundred daughters of ‘Yaksha’
Never did I question,nor disproved
Equally was I indifferent,
The moment Neil Amstrong
touched my Virgin Bosom.
Now am I hearing about
‘The Chandrayan package’ launched
By the champions of the ISRO
I am not for controversies and denials
And indifferent to the clamour
Of the seething throng,
Overjoyed am I
So long as people and poets,
Qualify me ‘as a balm’
To all’ hurt minds’.
Surely will I continue
To soothe and cheer the people
For time immemorial.
Indian mythology celebrates ‘The Moon’ as a Demi-God.
I associated this well-known myth with modern revelations made after the landing of Neil Amstrong on this cool satellite on a full moon day.
